Summary
There should be NPC-given medals for certain ingame accomplishments. Factional Warfare already does this in some way by granting ranks, but this system should be expanded to cover more areas of the game.
Examples of accomplishments would include:
- Succesful completion of an Epic Mission Arc
- Completing bonus objectives (killing the Nidhoggur for example) in Epic Mission Arcs
- Getting more than 9.995 standing with an NPC corporation
- Being the top weekly killer in Factional Warfare
- Being the top weekly plexer in Factional Warfare
I understand that a lot of you consider this vanity, but believe it or not, there are actually people interested in collecting shiny items. A medal in the top of the items requested as reward for completing the Epic Mission Arc for a reason. It's probably a carebear thingie though, but what's wrong with that?
Goals
- Allows for bonus-objectives to be implemented in the Epic Mission Arc
- Adding meaningful reward to certain activities in EVE
- Giving players some goals to strive for
- Encouraging more FW participation, and recognizing the top players
- Encouraging players to complete Epic Mission Arcs
