Summary
There were a few very useful tools in the pre-premium version of Eve Online that players have requested be returned. While their implementation may be time consuming, their overall effect would be a boon to the players who need them.
Options
Anti-Aliasing
Quite a few of our players who are involved with media production and such have requested this feature be restored to improve the pixelized look of some ships and effects.
Pros
- Improves appearance of the game
- Cleans up jagged lines sometimes evident in space
Cons
- Possible implementation time
- Mechanics of the current Trinity engine
Load Station Environment
This option would change the active background to a static image mapped behind the ship.
Pros
- Helps clients using older computer hardware
- Removes an unnecessary workload for those focusing on the windows in the station
Cons
- Would require drawing the static image for the computers
- Necessitates the restoration of the option check box
